Roberto Casanova
The 2010 season of Look My band debuted with a very interesting story.
Roberto Casanova (43), a worker who works with Brazilian autoparts in Shizuoka, Japan, has a boundless passion: singing.
The guy likes both, but both sing, who won the most important contest of karaoke in Japan, organized by NHK TV, gathering 85 000 candidates! He is the second Brazilian to win the title. The first was Joe Hirata in 1994, also the first foreigner to win the tournament. Not to speak Japanese and not knowing what they're singing. Incredible, is not it? Here in Brazil, karaoke can be a game that bothers the neighbors, but in Japan it's serious, considered a national passion.
Robert was introduced to the Japanese community and the karaoke in 1979 when he moved with his family in the neighborhood of Liberdade in Sao Paulo. In 2000, he was twice champion Sao Paulo and Brazilian karaoke, being dubbed "the Song Japanese Pele." It was at Liberty that he met his wife, Mika, with whom she has a beautiful daughter, the little Rina Chan. On weekends, the couple performs in restaurants, nightclubs and weddings. Thus, in addition to supplement the income, they do what they like best: sing!
Huck found the story of Roberto through an excellent material displayed on Fantastic. Robert and Mika dream of becoming professional singers and live music. As in there is the Cauldron See My Band and an endless desire to turn dreams into reality, we were behind this story. After all, we are always looking for artists with talent and a good story to tell. And this, the couple has plenty!
